After School Learning Centre

Thursday's After School Learning Centre 2016

The After School Learning Centre operates on a Thursday afternoon for selected students in years 1-6.

  • Years 1-3 begins at 3:00pm to 3:45pm in the library.
  • Years 4-6 begins 2:45pm to 3:45pm in the 3-6 Computer Lab.

The After School Learning Centre is a free program run by Blaxcell Street teachers to help students and their parents access the curriculum. Each week there are set out activities in areas of literacy, numeracy and technology for students to work on with the help of staff. Parent workshops are also run to support student learning at home.

Things to remember:

  • Failure to attend 2 afternoons (excluding illness) will result in your placement being offered to another students who will regularly attend.
  • Parent/guardians of years 1-3 students must attend.
  • NO additional children, toddlers or family members are allowed to attend.
  • Please bring questions about your home learning along with you.

This program is designed to assist students who are experiencing difficulty completing their home and school work.
