Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope this message finds you and your families well and in the best of health. I understand that the current circumstances that we are experiencing are very stressful and unfortunate. These past holidays have been like no other and it is challenging when we are unable to spend time with our extended family and friends.
As many of you would know, the Premier and Education Minister announced that schools will undertake a “managed return” of students from Monday 11 May 2020. This is a phased operating model for NSW schools during COVID-19. The new model will see students being reintroduced to some face-to-face learning at school from Week 3.
For first two weeks of this term (Wednesday 29 April - Friday 8 May) students will continue to learn from home as they did prior to the school holidays. From Monday 11 May, every student will have the opportunity to learn at school one day a week and then learn from home on the other days.
We are currently developing a schedule that will allow for the implementation of Phase 1 of this model. I will communicate that to all families prior to Monday 11 May 2020.
