The official launch of this year's program took place on Friday 5th August, attended by Paul Swain General Manager Dymocks Children's Charities (DCC), Gary Minford Fundraising Manager DCC, Victoria Tilbury Programs Coordinator DCC, Dymock the Duck and our teachers and students.
Blaxcell Street Public School students in grades 3-6 are reading books 'just for the fun of it' thanks to the school's includsion in the Dymocks Children's Charities - Book Bank Literacy Program.
Blaxcell Street students get to choose a new book of their own each term from a catalogue of great titles from the Premier's Reading Challenge. Once students read their books, they are placed into a classroom 'book bank' where they are shared among fellow classmates. At the end of each term, students take their books home to share with their families.
